FAZE WAVES // Papua New Guinea Washed
Reminds us of: Maple, Baker’s Chocolate & Peach
It's not every day that you see a Papua New Guinea in specialty coffee. This is our first time bringing in a coffee from PNG and we are stoked about it. This is rich, sweet and bright. It is quickly becoming our favorite morning coffee.
Aroma: Sweet brown sugar, honey and maple syrup aroma with rose jasmine and dark chocolate notes
Tasting: Exotic well balanced intense flavor with raspberry, strawberry, citrus/lemon and nectarine notes
Coffee was first introduced to Simbu in the early 1950's, it has been the most important crop to the local Simbuans. Each small holder farmer owns approx. 1 - 2 hectares of coffee 'garden' which they grow small amounts of coffee which they monitor carefully to create top grade coffee. PSC stands for Premium Smallholder Coffee, and this lot was graded as a A, or top lot.
